13th/14th Century Shield-Shaped Heraldic Pendant Depicting the Three Lions of England (Arms of England pre-1340)   SOLD

This heraldic horse pendant depicts three lions passant guardant on a red enamelled background. The pendant is complete with its loop and attached hanger, which still retains its fixing stud. There is approximately 75% of the red enamelled background present and the gold enamelling on the lions and hanger is still partially visible in places.

This is an extremely good quality heraldic pendant with a substantial amount of colour and detail evident. It measures 43 mm from the top of the hanger to the shield tip and 25 mm in width.
