Romano/British 2nd Century Bronze Zoomorphic Knife Handle

This very unusual bronze knife handle is in the shape of a panther and dog.The panther's head, which is fairly detailed, faces away from the blade (not present) towards the head of a celtic style hound. A small piece of the dog's snout is missing, but the handle is rare and still retains much silvering.

The knife handle measures 4 cms in length.
