Purchase
The prices of items on the website do not include postage. This is added on to the total and depends on the weight, the value of the item and its destination. A full list of postage options is listed below.
Payment facilities include credit/debit card through PayPal, personal cheque (U.K. only), or Bank Transfer (a bank charge may apply to international bank transfers).

Payment in instalments
In the present economic climate, we are aware that investment in medals and other valuable, historical items presents a considerable outlay of money. Therefore, we offer an instalment plan which may be of benefit to investors and collectors. Payment for an item can be divided into a deposit of 10% and two or more instalments, depending on the value of the item. We can either send an invoice for each instalment for an amount determined by the customer, or payments can be made by personal cheque (within the U.K.) or bank transfer. When payment is complete, the reserved item can then be sent to the purchaser. This method has proved successful for many customers in the past, so please contact us if you would like to use our layaway service.
Delivery
Constantius offers delivery options on a worldwide basis and provides a variety of services relevant to the weight and value of the purchased item. We aim to keep postage and packaging prices at a competitive rate, at the same time ensuring safe and efficient delivery. Our system is also programmed to combine postage on multiple purchases, and the postage charge is calculated automatically at checkout.
Please note, the programming of shipping prices has to be updated from time to time as shipping costs rise. If you have any questions relating to shipping costs, you are most welcome to contact us. Furthermore, it is possible to send a customized invoice via PayPal, which can cater to individual requirements.
Royal Mail Tracked 24 with Signature UK
For items with a value up to £75.00, we use Royal Mail Tracked 24 with Signature, which includes large letters up to 1kg and parcels up to 10kg.
Special Delivery UK- (items valued over £75.00)
It is company policy to send all items with a value of more than £75.00 by Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK. Due to the varying amounts of compensation required, three bands of UK Special Delivery have been programmed, which include compensation up to £750.00, compensation up to £1,000 and compensation up to £2,500.
International Tracked and Signed Services
Compensation on International Tracked services to Europe and the rest of the world is limited to £50.00 and £250.00. Please contact us if you wish to purchase an item with a value of more than £250.00 from overseas, as we will need to work out the appropriate insurance cost from our business insurance company. For an item valued at £500.00, this is usually approximately £10.00, which is added to the postage amount for an item valued at £250.00. We have found that this method works out more competitively than insurance through Royal Mail or other courier services.
Purchasers based in the United States of America will need to contact us so that we can provide a customized invoice, which includes a 10% additional tariff charge. This is paid on posting at Royal Mail post offices in the UK.
